St. Paul's Youth (SPY) is geared toward children in grades 7-12.
SPY meets during the Bibleclass Hour. The group has elected to study the Book of Job for the next several weeks. In Job, we see God at work in suffering as well as how faithful Christians can wrestle with the problems of sin and evil in the world
SPY also have one service/fun event planned for each month. Events include (and are not limited to):
Serving Food at a homeless shelter
Volunteering in a food bank
Serving Meals at Church
...and many more
Confirmation is a right in the church where students make a public confession of faith after undergoing instruction. Instruction is from Luther's Small Catechism. The Confrimation class consits of two years, each year looking at 3 of the 6 chief parts in the Catechism.
Confession and Absolution
Confirmation class is traditionally for students in in 7th and 8th grade. Exceptions are certainly made. Pastor offers an adult confrimation class once a year or as needed.
